Scientific interest:

  • adsorption: biosorption processes, water and wastewater treatment technologies, technologies of purifying industrial sewage from heavy metal cations using cheap sorbents: materials of plant origin (sawdust, leaves etc.) and other waste materials (like fly ash), technologies of enriching animal feed and natural fertilizers in selected microelements
  • membrane processes – pressure driven and diffusive membrane processes, technologies of purifying gases from volatile organic compounds, using membrane phase contactors, technologies of removing carbon dioxide in a contactor system, technologies of separating ammonia from aqueous solutions in a contactor system with a simultaneous production of fertilizers
  • separation of bioproducts, especially with the application of pervaporation, separation of aroma compounds with the application of pervaporation, dehydration of organic solvents by means of pervaporation

Subjects for students of ChPE:

1o degree:

  • Dynamic processes (lecture, project, laboratory, in Polish),
  • Membrane processes (lecture, in Polish)

2o degree:

  • New modern methods of liquid separation (lecture, in Polish and English),

Subject of current Diploma Thesis:

  • Statistical modelling of biosorption in column system using response surface methodology
  • Hybrid system biosorption column-membrane contactor for wastewater treatment
  • Concentration of aqueous ethanol solutions in diffusive processes
